KiNG AWNINGS are manufactured from a premium, specially imported material called Zincalume®, our adjustable louvre awnings, gutters and fascias give you the corrosion-resistant capabilities of aluminium with the rigidity of steel for the severe Highveld weather. Zincalume® incorporates galvanising, chromadek and an aluminium bond to optimise the lifespan of the material without compromising on strength. The frames are manufactured from mild steel and are then electroplated with corrosion resistance and coated with epoxy powder for a flawless finish.

Zincalume® is a type of coated steel made by applying a special alloy to a base of steel. The coating is a combination of:  55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc & 1.5% silicon. This alloy blend gives Zincalume® steel several valuable properties, including:

• Corrosion Resistance - The aluminum in the coating provides excellent long-term protection against corrosion, especially in marine and industrial environments. It typically lasts much longer than traditional galvanized steel.
• Durability - Zincalume® is highly durable and resistant to weathering. It can outperform galvanised steel by up to 2–4 times in some conditions.
• Heat Reflectivity - It reflects more heat than galvanized steel, making it energy efficient and a good option for roofing in hot climates.
• Self-Healing at Cut Edges - The zinc content in the alloy helps to protect exposed edges from rusting due to a "sacrificial" galvanic effect.

KiNG AWNINGS are easy to open and close, and we offer both mechanical and motorised operating systems. When it rains, our interlocking design helps to redirect water flow off the covered patio and into our unique gutter systems.
