Having qualified as a civil/structural engineer in 1984 at the University of Natal (now, UKZN), John Comley acquired 40 years of experience in a wide field of civil/structural projects, and is able to provide clients with advice above and beyond racking.
Since 1988
John Comley, civil/structural engineer and the CEO of The RACKING Guys, designed and built the first high-racking warehouse in South Africa in 1988, for the FRAME Group in Durban.
The fully automated warehouse stored 2m diameter roles of woven fabric in a high-racking warehouse, in which the racking also acted as the walls and roof for the warehouse structure.
